If any of these names sound silly, be sure to let me know! I do adore feedback. ;D

01. The World, Lura:

The planet the ‘Five Rings Trilogy’ is set on, it is not much unlike Earth—the main difference being high electromagnetic fields—forcing its inhabitants to live without much fire and electricity.

02. Continent of Kassara:

This continent serves as the backdrop for much of the story; a land of five nations, three factions, and many cultures.

03. Continent of Gargues-Pula:

A second continent spoken of only in tales, nobody on Kassara is certain it really exists.

03. City of Zion:

Also known as ‘The City of Enoch’ or ‘The Great City’, scholars once thrived in this metropolis until it mysteriously vanished, costing humanity thousands of years of knowledge. Even more tragic, it was believed the entire populace of Zion were people pure of heart. Now, it is uninhabited, reappearing and vanishing in random places along with each iteration of the Grand Cycle.

It currently resides underwater, off the shores of Gargues-Pula.

04. Rhiol Ocean:

The Rhiol is the ocean off the northern shoreline of Kassara.

04. City of Aydomar:

The Northern Alliance’s capital and Kassara’s largest city, Aydomar is located where the Tegas River meets the shoreline of the Rhiol. It is the center of trade between the Five Points, known for its tall buildings, unique bridges, and cobblestone streets. It is a monarchy, currently ruled by King Rezzik.

05. Tegas River:

This river stretches from the Altahra peaks, along Sky Haven, and down throughout the northern countryside, finally ending at Aydomar.

06. City of Joun:

The Western Alliance’s capital city, it is well defended with a natural border called Whitewall and one of the most well-trained armies in the world, which has allowed it to stand in defiance to Aydomar’s nearly absolute control of Kassara’s commerce and titles. Though it’s people are xenophobic, there is a definite rustic feel within the city. It is located on the west coast, bordering the Diamond Coast and Palla Ocean. It is currently ruled by Queen Myrna.

07. Mohmesh Balds:

The land immediately surrounding Joun is hilly, with gigantic white rocks jutting out of dark green grass.

08. Diamond Coast:

This majestic coast is white, like snow, and is used worldwide as a sign of innocense.

09. Palla Ocean:

The name for the ocean off Kassara’s west coast.

10. Temple of Marais:

This sacred temple lays—guarded—deep in the Daju forest east of Joun. Construction began for the first Meiallin exactly 2,434 years from the start of the book. The awakened claimed it was the exact place where all leylines converge. The chamber at the heart of the temple is that exact point, called ‘the convergence’. The greatest awakened in Kassara come there to meditate, worship, and project, and to meet the Meiallin, who is expected to take up residence there.

11. Daju Forest:

A large, sprawling forest of Whitearc trees, east of Joun on broken land, caused by the earthquakes during the lost time.

12. City of Shiira:

The largest city of the Southern Alliance, Shiira is in the middle of a desert, winning its wars from the north by pulling the war to their own turf. They strongly dislike the idea of northern rule, so their goals are similar to the Western Alliance. Shiira, and all the cities to the south of the Altahra Mountains are ruled by a council of elected officials rather than a monarchy, earning it the name ‘the Free Country’. This lifestyle strongly opposes the Northern Alliances’ method to a harmonious world, and is the only other political force stopping Kassara from being completely controlled by Aydomar.

13. Shiirati Desert:

This vast desert makes up most of the southern half of Kassara.

14. Shiirati River:

The Shiirati is the longest river in the world, cutting through 75% of the desert.

15. Sky Haven:

A cloister of sorts, situated on the slopes of Mt. Jhorna of the Altahra Range, a chosen person from every major city holds a seat at Sky Haven. Their job is to ensure Kassara stays harmonious by controlling several facets of society.

16. Altahra Range:

This range of mountains is considered lost territory. It is home to Sky Haven, Brennan, the Underbulk, the Briarshelf, and Ulidan. Its tallest peak belongs to Mount Jhorna.

17. Brennan:

Brennan is a city completely underground, a lost city at the edge of the Underbulk. Littered with thieves, cartographers, nameless, and tradesman, the city has become a ghetto. But the outskirts of town is a sprawling bazaar, where the most trade of material goods in the world occurs thanks to the people travelling west who wish to avoid the gated cities of the Five Points.

18. The Underbulk:

A vast network of caves beneath the Altahra Range. It is said if you do not have both an excellent map and a flicker stick, you will get lost there, in the dark, forever.

19. Ulidan Cavern:

The most famous cave of the Underbulk, Ulidan leads right into the Briarshelf.

20. The Briarshelf:

The Enswisle Forest and its soil have extended into the southern half of Ulidan. Orm branches weave a tunnel-like dense mesh of wood and leaves above and all around, while the trees deeper within have developed bladders that glow a natural light; Flicker trees.

21. Enswisle Forest:

North of the Shiirati desert, the savannahs, and the grasslands lay this forest. The Orm trees here are hundreds of paces tall, covered in a rich red-brown bark, and have no foliage until the upper reaches. There is an ancient road leading through Enswisle, lined with crumbling pillars.

22. Bastok:

Ruled by King Lede, Bastok is a satellite city to Aydomar. It is also along the Tegas River, between Sky Haven and Aydomar. The city has similar architecture to Aydomar but is smaller in comparison.
